  7. Snakes can't see you,so they sense you. They also sense their food and then eat it.And,after you've fed a snake you should not touch it because it might be sick. You should not touch a snake too much if it is about to shed it's skin.

I have learnt that snakes can swallow their prey. Mr.Darnley got 2 milk snakes and Mr. Askew got three different kind of snakes. Milk snake is a species of king snake.Milk snakes grow 20 to 60 inches. They have smooth shiny and color pattern skin.I like milk snake because they are harmless. "Red next to black is a friend of jack;Red next to yellow will kill a fellow." It was a fun to see them eat their prey.

  10. I learnt that snakes can eat their prey whole and unhinge their jaw to fit the mouse or rat into their body. Also you can see the prey going through the body it is this big lump in the body. Not to forget that when the snake has eaten you are not allowed to touch it for at least 24 hours to wait until it has digested down and you can't see the lump anymore. Also if you touch the snake after it has eaten it will sick the food back up.EEWW!!! I also learnt that snakes have teeth pointing backwards so that if the prey tries to climb back up it will get cut by them, the teeth also push the prey backwards into the body.

  12. I learned that snakes eat there prey all in one swallow but it looks like they are chewing but it is not. They unhinge their jaw so the Rat or mouse can fit in one swallow. You will be able to see the prey going down they will squeze it all the way into their stomach. When the snake has eaten you are not aloud to touch it our pick it up much. You will need to wait 24 hours for it to digest.Snakes will eat 1 a week.

  19. Snakes are carnivorous and sometimes dangerous. Did you know that snakes used to have legs a long time ago but they didn't need them because they couldn't enter their burrows and adapted to having no legs at all! They can also eat mice and rats whole! And when they eat they don't need to eat until the next week because the snake system digests food very slowly as snakes can be very long!
